Welcome to "FOOD FARE" - a photo series where I share some of my favorite meals and desserts.

A cherry ice cream sundae with chopped nuts and whipped cream. Who says you can't enjoy ice cream in winter? |
Alloy mak (very delicious) Thai recipes - including papaya salad, beef salad, pad thai, and stewed pork. These were offerings to the monks at MBMC, and the laypeople were invited to eat after them. |
Sarah and I each had the mother of all omelettes - three eggs, a brick of American cheddar, spinach, artichokes, and turkey sausage. It kind of looks like the glove of Michigan? |
Melt-in-your-mouth barbecue pork with cornbread, baked beans, and mashed red potatoes. I don't think I'll find this on many menus in Japan ;) |

What a treat! Lebanese grape leaves with lamb at one of my favorite restaurants. Even better than the food was the great company - thank you, Eleanor! |
