FOOD FARE: Last Days in Michigan

Welcome to "FOOD FARE" - a photo series where I share some of my favorite meals and desserts.

cherry ice cream sundae with chopped nuts and whipped cream. Who says you can't enjoy ice cream in winter?

Alloy mak (very delicious) Thai recipes - including papaya salad, beef salad, pad thai, and stewed pork. These were offerings to the monks at MBMC, and the laypeople were invited to eat after them.

Sarah and I each had the mother of all omelettes - three eggs, a brick of American cheddar, spinach, artichokes, and turkey sausage. It kind of looks like the glove of Michigan?

Melt-in-your-mouth barbecue pork with cornbread, baked beans, and mashed red potatoes. I don't think I'll find this on many menus in Japan ;)

What a treat! Lebanese grape leaves with lamb at one of my favorite restaurants. Even better than the food was the great company - thank you, Eleanor!
